SoC-e joins the PAPOS Project

We have R&D in our DNA and that’s why the Basque Government has recently awarded us a grant within the Hazitek grant programme. This is the PAPOS Project: design and development of next-generation Ethernet communications technology and product that can be integrated into aerospace platforms. The national electricity grid is made up of more than 44,000 kilometres of high voltage lines, more than 6,000 substation positions, more than 93,000 MVA of transformation capacity (Red Eléctrica, 2023) and continues to grow. In…

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Christmas is here and with it the company lunch that SoC-e and RELYUM celebrate every year. It is a moment when we all get together, take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and above all enjoy good company. We are lucky to have such a good atmosphere both inside and outside the office. Take, for example, the awards that Guillermo, one of our colleagues, organises to liven up the day. They are our special “Oscars” 😉.…

EDHPC 2023 has been a success!

We have attended the EDHPC 2023 (European Data Handling & Data Processing Conference) in Juan-Les-Pins (France) and we have again razed the presentation! Talking about TSN always generates expectation and if we also do it in a space context, the attention increases significantly. On this occasion the speaker was our colleague David Modroño together with Leonardo Favilli, from AVIO.   It basically consisted of explaining why Ethernet and TSN are suitable technologies for this specific use case in a…

We’re back from the TSN/A Conference!

We’re back from the TSN/A Conference! Our colleagues David Modroño and Daniel Uribe have attended as speakers at one of the most important conferences related to TSN technology. In fact, we’ve been attending all the editions that have been held since 2017. As a novelty this year, the TSN/A Conference has used the slogan “TSN in practice”. We’ve put aside our more theoretical side to bring down to earth all our knowhow with two really interesting presentations. And we don’t…

Succesful time at the 15th Annual GVSETS

Last week the 15th Annual Ground Vehicle Systems Engineering & Technology Symposium (GVSETS) took place in Novi (Detroit area, Michigan). This year GVSETS has put the focus on partnering with industry, government and academia to meet the Army’s transformational needs; especially talking about Ground Vehicle applications, from the mechanical platform itself, to the most breakthrough in-vehicle communication systems. SoC-e, as a specialist in communications equipment for critical applications in general, and particularly for Ground Vehicles, was present in two ways…

See you at GVSETS

This year’s 15th Annual Ground Vehicle Systems Engineering & Technology Symposium (GVSETS) has put the focus on partnering with industry, government and academia to meet the Army’s transformational needs. We will be represented at this meeting by our CEO Mikel Idirin, who will attend various meetings given the interest in our TSN technology in the sector. In addition, we will also be present at the Aitech stand as we have collaborated in the demo they are going to present there,…

SoC-e at the IEEE 802 PLENARY SESSION 2023

SoC-e has had the opportunity to travel to Berlin to the IEEE 802 PLENARY SESSION 2023. Our company has been represented by our colleagues David Modroño and Daniel Uribe who have returned grateful for having had the opportunity to meet first-hand the people who are working on the profiles and standards of Time Sensitive Networking (TSN). And also for been able to participate in interesting debates on how the technology is approached. In such a meeting there have been…

SoC-e Eguna 2024

Last Friday, June 23, we were celebrating! Not only because it was SoC-e Eguna (our company’s day), but also because it was the International Women in Engineering Day. To celebrate this day we did a race in sailing boats and it was an experience!                 Then we all went to eat together and ended up having a drink very close to one of the bonfires that were lit by being the Night of…

Designing and Configuring a DDS-TSN System

On July 6 at 5:00 pm. CET there will be a new webinar on Designing and Configuring a DDS-TSN System. It will be taught by our colleague Daniel Uribe form SoC-e and by Gerardo Pardo from RTI, and in it you will see how to do the integration of DDS in TSN on RELYUM by SoC-e technology. DDS Extensions for Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) Specification has recently been adopted by the OMG (Object Management Group). The fundamental basis of both…
