NEW SoC-e SMARToem Module – May 2014

SoC-e presents a new FPGA based OEM module for Reliable Networks implementation. It supports up-to 6 copper or fibre Fast Ethernet ports. It can allocate different size Xilinx Spartan-6 FPGAs, from LX45 to LX150, depending on the complexity of the design requested on the FPGA. SoC-e offers out-of-the-box HSR/PRP IEEE 1588-aware designs for SMARToem module. These designs support Configuration-over-Ethernet (CoE) that allows full access to internal registers through the same Ethernet link that connects to the CPU and Dynamic Bitstream…

SoC-e´s 1588Tiny IP core on ARTECHE´s new generation IEC61850 optical current transformers – April 2014

The Optical Current Transformer (SDO OCT) is an alternative to the existing conventional current transformers, providing an advanced measurement solution for both metering and protection applications, based on a cutting-edge optical sensing technology.  OCT is provided with Arteches´s smART DO technology. The Optical Current Transformer provides a digital output compatible with the IEC 61850-9-2 LE protocol, allowing for the implementation of Process Bus technology within the substation. SoC-e 1588Tiny IP Core for Xilinx FPGAs has been integrated in this product to provide accurate…

Visit SoC-e at Embedded World 2014 (Nuremberg, Germany) – February 2014

SoC-e presents at embedded world 2014 its new solutions for HSR, PRP and 1588. In a live demo at Xilinx booth, you can interact with a Smart Quadbox with a 1588 synchronized HSR ring and with a Zynq SoC based DAN. Smart Quadbox combines low-latency Tri-speed HSR/PRP ports with 1GE fibre Ethernet ports. It supports “legacy” dummy Quadbox mode of operation and managed switch operation. The HSR ring is composed by SoC-e NETbox Development Kits implementing the most cost-effective solution…

SoC-e IRIG-B IP Core – December 2013 –

SoC-e completes its synchronization IP Cores portfolio with a TX/RX IRIG-B IP that can be implemented in any Xilinx FPGA and easily combined with SoC-e IEEE 1588 IPs. For more information: Contact SoC-e  …

HSR/PRP Switch IP V2.0 supports Configuration-over-Ethernet (CoE) and Dynamic Bitstream Configuration (DBC) – December 2013 –

The new release of the Tri-Speed SoC-e HSR/PRP Switch IP supports full access to internal registers through the same Ethernet link that connects to the CPU. This Management Mode simplifies drastically the hardware infrastructure and saves resources. This link also can be used by any IEEE 1588 software stack to read the hardware timestamping units of the HSR/PRP Switch IP or to control the status of the RSTP ports. This Management mode completes the list of configuration modes available: Serial,…

SoC-e HSR/PRP solution based on Xilinx Zynq Platform awarded by IEEE Industrial Electronics Society – November 2013 –

The work “System-on-Chip Implementation of Reliable Ethernet Networks Nodes” presented by SoC-e and by the University of the Basque Country at the prestigious Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (November 2013, Vienna) was awarded as the best contribution of the Session “System-on-Chips, Design, Simulation and Verification”. The flexibility (DAN, RedBox, QuadBox) and performance (very low and constant switching latency times) of the SoC implementation were excellently assessed by the reviewers. The full text of the contribution can be obtained…
