  • Quality: Assessment of product condition, accuracy between the order and the received materials, and the number of detected issues.
  • Customer Service: Evaluation of pre-sale responses to inquiries, requests for quotes, offers, and after-sales support for claims or requests related to delivered materials.
  • Flexibility: The supplier’s ability to adapt to SOC-E’s needs.
  • Terms Compliance: The degree of adherence to agreed delivery times.

Compliance and Sustainability

Code of Ethics

At SOC-E, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior in all aspects of our business. Our Code of Ethics outlines the principles and guidelines that govern our actions and decisions, ensuring we operate responsibly and transparently.

By adhering to this Code of Ethics, we ensure that SOC-E operates with the highest ethical standards, fostering trust and integrity in all our relationships and activities.

This policy can be customized further to fit the specific values and needs of your company, as a customer.

Conflict Minerals Policy

SOC-E is committed to responsible sourcing practices and ethical conduct in our supply chain. We recognize the importance of addressing the issue of conflict minerals, including minerals such as tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold (also known as “3TG”), originating from conflict-affected and high-risk areas, including those sourced from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and adjoining countries.

Regulation (EU) 2017/821 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 May 2017, known as the Conflict Minerals Regulation, and entered into force on 1 January 2021, obliges Union importers to identify risks and mitigating responses in their supply chains for tin, tantalum, tungsten, their ores, and gold originating from conflict-affected and high-risk areas.

As part of our commitment:

  • We do not knowingly procure or use conflict minerals that directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups.
  • We expect our suppliers to adhere to the same standards and to source minerals responsibly.
  • We engage with our suppliers to promote transparency and responsible mineral sourcing practices.
  • We support international efforts to trace and audit the origin of minerals used in our products.

By implementing this policy, SOC-E aims to contribute to the responsible sourcing of minerals and support sustainable development in the regions where we operate.

Environmental. Chemicals and Hazardous Materials. REACH, ROHS and others

REACH: The REACH Regulation (EC 1907/2006)entered into force in 2007 and has evolved to reflect the advancement of knowledge regarding various chemicals and their properties. REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, Restriction of Chemicals) requires all electronics manufacturers to register the chemicals they produce, import, or use. It applies to companies making products or importing electronics into the EU.

ROHS: The current ROHS directive (2011/65/EU) is an update to the original RoHS Directive (Directive 2002/95/EC). RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) bans certain chemicals in finished electronic components, such as printed circuit boards and cables. It affects anyone selling to the EU market.

All products manufactured by SOC-E are compliant with REACH and RoHS regulations, ensuring they meet the highest standards for chemical safety and environmental protection.

In addition, we are fully aware of the requirements set forth by the WEEE– Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment- Directive (2012/19/EU) on waste electrical and electronic equipment, as well as the POP– Persistent Organic Pollutants- Regulation (EC No 850/2004) on persistent organic pollutants. We are committed to aligning our processes with these important environmental standards and are actively working towards full compliance to ensure our products meet these rigorous requirements, thereby contributing to a sustainable and environmentally responsible future.
