Last week SOC-E attended the Automotive Ethernet Congress 2025 (AEC) in Munich, Germany.

We were well represented by David Modroño, from SocTek business development area and Mikel Rodriguez, our FPGA manager.

We had the chance to see the new trends in automotive industry, specifically related to the adoption of Ethernet in the future vehicle architectures. Topics such as MACSEC for secure data handling, 10BASE-T1S based cabling for replacing onboard legacy automotive interfaces (CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, etc.), high-efficiency video coding such as JPEG XS and Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) were a relevant part in most of the presentations and company stands.

As a technology provider specialized in high-availability and deterministic networking, sub-microsecond synchronization and cybersecurity solutions for critical sectors, these are key technologies that SOC-E is closely following and/or implementing as part of our product roadmap.

Finally, AEC was a great chance to meet SOC-E customers & partners, such as RTaW, National Instrumentsor Windriver. There is nothing more enriching than exchanging views about the future with other people and companies that bring you complementary impressions of the market.

Without a doubt, this is a must-attend event in our diary, as it is a meeting place for all of us interested in Ethernet and TSN.  See you next year!
