SOC-E took part as a speaker at the first ever Aerospace & Defense TSN Summit 2025, an international event held on September 9–10 in Novi, Michigan (USA). The summit brought together leading experts, manufacturers, and organizations to explore the latest advances in Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) and its application to mission-critical aerospace and defence environments.
During the conference, SOC-E delivered the presentation “The Power of TSN and RTOS Integration”, addressing how the convergence of TSN with real-time operating systems (RTOS) creates a new framework for deterministic, synchronized, and resilient communication systems. The talk was structured around four key topics:
- Need for a Change – Highlighting the growing demands in aerospace and defence networks and why traditional communication technologies no longer suffice.
- Architecture & Integration – Demonstrating how TSN and RTOS can be seamlessly combined to provide low latency, jitter control, and robust synchronization across distributed systems.
- From Lab to Field – Sharing SOC-E’s experience in moving from prototypes and validation environments to real-world deployments that meet rigorous standards such as IEEE P802.1DP.
- Key Takeaways & Future Work – Outlining the lessons learned, the importance of interoperability, and the roadmap for continued innovation in deterministic networking.
The presentation highlighted how integrating TSN with PikeOS establishes a deterministic backbone that simplifies system architecture and reduces certification costs. This integration not only makes advanced networking solutions practical but also ready for deployment in next-generation aerospace and defence systems.
In addition to its presentation, SOC-E actively engaged in technical sessions and interoperability workshops, contributing its expertise on testing methodologies and validation strategies that are accelerating TSN adoption across the aerospace and defence industries.
By participating in the Aerospace & Defense TSN Summit 2025, SOC-E reaffirmed its role as a leading developer of deterministic networking solutions and strengthened its commitment to advancing open standards and interoperable technologies that define the future of mission-critical communications.
Collaboration and knowledge exchange are essential in advancing technologies for mission-critical systems. SOC-E also extends appreciation to AVNU Alliance, GE Aerospace, and Keysight for organizing the Aerospace & Defense TSN Summit 2025 and providing a platform for innovation in TSN for aerospace and defence sectors.
