
The Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) live demonstration presented at the upcoming MOSA Industry and Government Summit & Expo 2026showcases a modular, rapidly deployable mission-computing architecture designed to highlight open systems integration, interoperability and speed to market. The demonstrator brings together technologies from Trilogic Systems, SOC-E, Collins Aerospace, Mercury Systems, Boeing and ScioTeq into a unified mission environment, illustrating how capabilities from multiple vendors can operate together through open interfaces rather than a vertically integrated proprietary solution.
SOC-E’s Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) technology provides the deterministic networking foundation connecting these distributed capabilities. The TSN infrastructure transports high-bandwidth live video and other time-sensitive data alongside TAK, management and mission-network traffic, while providing traffic prioritisation, synchronisation, network segmentation and controlled bandwidth utilisation.
A Jetson AGX Orin provides edge processing and live video generation, while the VPX-based compute environment hosts mission applications including TAK services, WebTAK, network routing and a rolling video recorder backed by shared storage. Mobile ATAK users can connect through the tactical wireless network, exchange position and mission data, view live information and interact with services distributed throughout the architecture.
The live demonstration showcases the effective deployment of SOC-E’s TSN technology within a multi-vendor environment, demonstrating its interoperability and seamless integration with different systems and technologies from multiple companies. The demonstration highlights how standard-based TSN can provide a common and deterministic networking infrastructure for the integration of heterogeneous subsystems, ensuring reliable, time-aware and predictable data exchange. By combining interoperability, determinism and flexibility, SOC-E’s TSN technology demonstrates its suitability as a key enabling technology for the communication backbones of future defence platforms and increasingly complex mission systems.
The result is a practical demonstration of MOSA in action: multi-vendor interoperability, modular capability insertion, deterministic networking and a faster path from new technology to deployed mission capability.
