Talking about our System-on-Modules (SoM) solutions

Today we will be showing our different SoMs (System on Modules) that we offer here at SoCe.

Our SoMs are a pluggable System-on-Module (SoM) designed to enable easy integration of Industrial Ethernet Networks in equipment for Electric, Transportation, and Industrial Automation sectors. This powerful module allows the implementation of custom switches or speeding-up end-equipment development with powerful networking capabilities, by using SoCe IP Cores (even combined with user logic). Network frame processing can be performed by hardware using specific IP Cores.


SMARTzynq Module

  • This module is a Zynq family SoC, which is a processor-centric platforms that offer software, hardware and I/O programmability in a single chip. The multicore processor and industry-leading programmable logic enable better processing systems with fewer and faster devices. Devices supported: XC7Z010 and XC7Z020.
  • 8 Gb DDR3: Fast DDR memory to store operating systems, software applications, protocols stacks or large buffers. None of SoCes IP requires external RAM memory.
  • 256 Mb Quad SPI Flash: Memory for firmware and bit stream storage.
  • 5x Ethernet Combo Phyters: One 10/100/1000Base-T for configuration and management plus four 10/100/1000Base-T, 1000Base-X or 100Base-FX. The number of PHYs can be reduced according to the customer necessities.
  • Generic GPIOs: Up to 20 GPIOs ready to be used in the carrier.
  • EEPROM with unique MAC integrated: Ready to use unique MAC in each module to reduce the time-to-market of the customer product.
  • µSD connector: High density and low cost large storage for complex operating systems, permanent data storage and quick upgrade.

 

 

The SMARTzynq module is also available in ready to use brick format: SMARTzynq Brick.

 


MEZUA7G8 Module

  • This module is an Artix family SoC, which means it does not have an integrated multicore processor. This pluggable SODIMM format module designed to enable easy integration of Advanced Ethernet Industrial Networks in equipment for Electric, Transportation, Industrial and Aerospace/Defense sectors. It provides 8 GbE channels to support any combination of copper and fiber media thanks to the on-board “Combo” PHYs.
  • Devices supported: Industrial Grade Xilinx Artix 7 XC7A50T, XC7A75T and XC7A100T.
  • 128/256/512 Mb Quad SPI Flash.
  • EEPROM with unique MAC integrated: Ready to use unique MAC in each module to reduce the time-to-market of the customer product.

 

MEZUA7G8 module is also available in a ready-to-use brick format: MEZUBrick-A7G8.

 

 


SMARTmpsoc module

  • This module has a Zynq Ultrascale+ MPSoC. This family are processor-centric platforms that offer software, hardware and I/O programmability in a single chip. These devices embeds  a quad-core ARM® Cortex-A53 platform running up to 1.5GHz combined with dual-core Cortex-R5 real-time processors, a with a Mali-400 MP2 graphics processing unit and a last generation reconfigurable areas (FPGA).
  • 2 GB DDR4: Fast DDR memory to store operating systems, software applications, protocols stacks or large buffers.
  • 128 MB Quad SPI Flash: Memory for firmware and bitstream storage.
  • SATA 3 Connector: High-speed interface for SATA hard-disks interconnection direct to the board.

Our cost-effective and easily-integrable modules allows the implementation of custom routers, switches or end-equipment with powerful networking capabilities.  The customer can use our modules to implement its own design or request a pre-loaded  design with some of these configurations based on SoCe IP cores. This alternative allows the integration and combination of the following functionalities and standards:
