Last Friday we celebrated the SOC-E eguna 2024: a day where we do an outdoor activity to strengthen the bonds and the camaraderie in the company, and which ends with a meal together to replenish our strength.
This year we went surfing on the beach at Sopelana (Bizkaia), or at least we tried 😉 We didn’t have high expectations of catching waves, but the laughs were guaranteed. And so it was, the sea was not on our side and we swallowed a lot of water, but we had a great time!
Afterwards we went to the Fangaloka restaurant for a steak and, as is tradition, the SOCies Awards were handed out: little statuettes like the Oscars that are given to the winner of each category (different every year).
The truth is that it is not whether you get a coveted statuette that matters, but the expectation it generates.
Looking at the success of the day, we can only say that we can’t wait for the next SOC-E Eguna!
