SoC-e has presented at CIGRE its powerful HSR/PRP switch IP Core. This IP implements the new Reliable Ethernet protocols approved in IEC 62439-3 (IEC 61850 for Electric Substations Automation). Thanks to SoC-e proprietary switching technology, this IP offers the extremely fast switching time between Ethernet redundant ports. Altogether 14 companies participated in IEC 62439-3 Ed. 2.0 (HSR and PRP) interoperability testing in Winterthur during June 4th-22th 2012. The companies were involved in a testing session where the main focus was interoperability of the different implementations of the new IEC 62439-3 Ethernet redundancy protocols. SDRlab is a Laboratory Equipment specifically designed for Software-Defined Raido Teams that need to develop SDR rugged equipments based on VPX, the de-facto standard for advanced Defense and Aerospace electronic equipments.
