SoC-e at IEEE 1588 plug-fest in ISPCS – San Francisco (USA) September 2012 –

SoC-e engineers are taking part during this week at the IEEE 1588-2008 plug-fest in the 2012 International IEEE Symposium on Precision Clock Synchronization for Measurement, Control and Communication that celebrates at San Francisco (USA). In this event, SoC-e is testing the interoperability between different vendors of the new version of its 1588Tiny IP Core. This all-in-hardware IP core is the smallest and more compact IP available solution in the market to add IEEE 1588-2008 Ordinary-Clock to equipments with Slave-Only requirements.…

HSR/PRP switch IP Core presented at CIGRE 2012 International Exhibition – Paris (France) August 2012-

SoC-e has presented at CIGRE its powerful HSR/PRP switch IP Core. This IP implements the new Reliable Ethernet protocols approved in IEC 62439-3 (IEC 61850 for Electric Substations Automation). Thanks to SoC-e proprietary switching technology, this IP offers the extremely fast switching time between Ethernet redundant ports. During CIGRE exhibition, a live set-up for HSR and PRP networks was set at UCA Booth. SoC-e technology was attached at both HSR and PRP networks. Only 6 companies worldwide were allowed to…

SoC-e Participated HSR/PRP Interoperability Testing in Winterthur in June 2012

Altogether 14 companies participated in IEC 62439-3 Ed. 2.0 (HSR and PRP) interoperability testing in Winterthur during June 4th-22th 2012. The companies were involved in a testing session where the main focus was interoperability of the different implementations of the new IEC 62439-3 Ethernet redundancy protocols. SoC-e tested its IPs using ad-hoc test equipment, and also SoC-e customers tested their equipments running SoC-e IPs. The photo shows SoC-e test equipment attached to HSR ring in Winterthur. The success in these…

SDRlab Laboratory Equipment for Software-Defined Radio was presented at Wireless Innovation Forum in Brussels in June 2012

SDRlab is a Laboratory Equipment specifically designed for Software-Defined Raido Teams that need to develop SDR rugged equipments based on VPX, the de-facto standard for advanced Defense and Aerospace electronic equipments. SDRlab was presented at SoC-e booth (photo below) in the exhibition running a live-demo of GSM RF Link. In this event, SoC-e presented also VPXlight, the rugged conduction-cool chassis for production and SDRtx, SDRrx and SDRproc boards. All of them are compatible with SDRlab. This set of products offers…
